How to Lose Weight Quickly and Safely: My Solution

If you've read this far, you know that I reduced my weight by seventy pounds and am so far keeping it off. I am completely optimistic that this time, the weight is gone for good.

If you want to do the same, you can. It will take a committment on your part, especially in the beginning. When you start, perhaps even now, you will be plagued by doubts as to whether this can work. When you have had many failures before, it is hard to believe that this time it really can be different.

So, yes, I understand your skepticism. Starting out requires a leap of faith. However, this is temporary. Once you begin to experience some success, then your own success will motivate you and carry you along.

Weight loss is a complex issue. Genuine, lasting success requires a four pronged approach. At least, it did for me.

When I say "lasting success" I refer to a weight management strategy that lets you reduce your weight in a healthy, safe manner, and keep it off. You become healthier and stronger as you progress. Any weight loss effort that leaves you weak and sick is not a success, regardless of how little you may weigh.

How to Lose Weight Quickly and Safely: My Approach

  1. An Eating Plan. Personally, I used Nutrisystem (www.nutrisystem.com) because the food is healthy, safe and tasty. It's also convenient. I am not fond of cooking. However, it is not necessary that you follow any commercial plan. Consult a nutritionist or read a good book on nutrition and design an eating program that works for you.

  2. An Exercise Program. Consult a physician before beginning an exercise program, especially if you have been inactive. A good exercise program has three components: cardio (ie walking, swimming, running, using cardio machines, rowing, etc. ), strength building (weight training machines, free weights, exercise balls, Pilates, yoga) and flexibility (stretching, yoga, Pilates).

    My routine involved daily cardio (burns calories, strengthens the heart), with Pilates twice a week (strength and flexibility). Pilates and yoga are particularly good choices because the mind-body connection complements the Silva Method and EFT Tapping so well.

  3. Silva Method Meditations. There are so many benefits here that it's difficult to name them all. I've described the Silva Method and the many benefits I received at this link.

  4. EFT tapping. I've described EFT Tapping and mentioned some of its multiple uses at this link.

Either of these two techniques will assist you tremendously to achieve your weight loss goals (and any other goals that you might have).

However, it was when I began doing both that I felt a huge shift happening in my outlook and my thinking patterns. I cannot explain to you exactly why that is, or how it happens, or what precisely goes on in your brain, but something does .. and the results are remarkable.

If you're someone who has battled a weight issue for some time, you know exactly what you're facing. It's a never ending battle. When you use Silva Meditations and EFT, you gradually move into a different mindset. You no longer battle with your weight. You simply go with the flow -- and the flow takes you to a life as a naturally slim person. You simply develop a different outlook and have different needs.

Not only that, these tools work in so many other areas of life besides weight -- including health benefits that may include healing existing conditions and preventing new ones from occuring.
